Terms & Conditions

Last updated October 30, 2026

These terms cover universecourier.com and the Universe Courier message service. Universe Courier is a free service operated by sole proprietor Phillip Berger ("I" and "me" below). By using the site or signing up for messages, you agree to these terms.

The service

Universe Courier sends short messages, such as tarot cards, I Ching hexagrams, and quotes, at times and in an order chosen by a hardware random number generator. The messages are for reflection and entertainment. They aren't predictions, and they aren't medical, legal, financial, or any other professional advice.

Because it runs on randomness, there's no guarantee of when, how often, or whether any particular message arrives. The service is free, and I may change, pause, or end it at any time.

Accounts

  • Accounts are by invitation. Creating one needs only a name, email address, and password; a phone number is never required. You must be at least 13 years old to use Universe Courier.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time, and everything in it is deleted too.
  • I may suspend an account that misuses the service or tries to interfere with it.

SMS Terms

  • Program: Universe Courier random messages, sent by Universe Courier, a service operated by sole proprietor Phillip Berger.
  • What you'll receive: short messages chosen by a hardware random number generator, plus account texts such as verification codes.
  • Frequency: recurring, at random times, usually about one message every 1–2 days.
  • Cost: free from Universe Courier. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Texts are optional: you don't need to receive texts to create an account or use Universe Courier, and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions does not sign you up for them. Texts require separate consent, which you can decline or skip.
  • Opting in: you sign up in your account settings by entering your mobile number, checking the consent box, and confirming a code sent to that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Opting out: reply STOP at any time. You'll get one text confirming you're unsubscribed, and no more after that. Reply START to sign up again.
  • Help: reply HELP, or email [email protected].
  • Only sign up a number that you own or are authorized to use. If you change or give up that number, turn off texts or reply STOP first.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • How your number is handled is covered in the Privacy Policy. More about the program: Text messages.

No warranty

Universe Courier is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential damages from using it, or from a message arriving late, early, or not at all.
